Arizona Appliance Rebates Returning July 1
Beginning July 1, the Arizona Department of Commerce will offer new rebates to people purchasing energy efficient refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and solar water heaters. Apprixiimately $3.5 million was unclaimed from the initial round of rebates offered to Arizonans earlier in April of this year.
The money is funded through a program by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Rebates will range from $75 to $425.
The goal of the program is to entice Arizonans to switch to more energy efficient appliances than what they currently have. According to the program guidelines, the appliances must have the Energy Star approval label to qualify. Unfortunately rebates for dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers, and water heaters are not being offered during this second round of rebates.
Beginning at 6am on July 1st, Arizonans need to log into ArizonaRebates.com for available funds, purchase the qualified appliance, and complete their application process online to print and mail it in for the rebate. According to the Department of Commerce, there should be enough money for everyone this time.
