Federal Wind Turbine Tax Credit
 
A wind turbine collects kinetic energy from the wind and converts it to electricity that is compatible with a home's electrical system.
 
Between now and December 31, 2016, qualifying participants my be eligible for a federal tax credit up to 30% of the cost of the wind turbines (including the cost of installation). 
 
Qualifying homes include existing and new construction.  The homes must be the participant's primary residence or second home.  Rental homes do not qualify.
